Who is Eboni Nichols, Queen Latifah's partner?
In 2013, Queen Latifah and Eboni Nichols made their relationship official after meeting on the Dancing with the Stars set.
Nicholas holds a professional choreography license and holds a bachelor's degree in theatre and dance from Chapman University in California.
Following graduation, Nichols went on to perform in front of well-known stars like Beyoncé, Usher, and Jennifer Lopez.
Nichols also had a brief career as a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers, and according to Emmys.com, she choreographed all five seasons of both the ABC comedy Fresh Off the Boat and the TV series Jane the Virgin.
She later choreographed hit Hollywood movies like Office Christmas Party, Girls Trip, and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
How long have they been dating and when did they first meet?
Latifah and Nichols first met in 2009 while working on the set of Dancing with the Stars. Despite keeping their relationship a secret, they began dating in 2013.
In a 2008 interview with The New York Times, Latifah stated, "I don't have a problem discussing the topic of someone being gay, but I do have a problem discussing my personal life.
You don't understand that side of me. Sorry. We don't talk about it in meetings.
I don't feel compelled to reveal details of my private life, and I don't give a damn whether I'm perceived as gay or not. Whatever you want, assume. Still, you carry it out.
Have they got kids?
Rebel, the couple's son, was reportedly born to Nichols in 2019, though they chose not to announce it in the media.
Nichols was spotted in a Beverly Hills medical facility in October 2018 with a noticeable baby bump, and according to Radar Online, the couple had a baby in 2019.
When this happened, a source remarked, "Latifah has never been so full of life! Latifah now has something very special to live for thanks to Eboni and the baby."
During her 2021 acceptance speech for her Lifetime Achievement Award, Latifah seemed to make a reference to their son.
She said in a straightforward manner, "Beloved Eboni. Love, be a rebel. Glad Pride!"
