Subscribe To Feed URLs

An Alfred 3 workflow to subscribe to a feed URL in one of the supported RSS aggregator services.

Usage

When you visit a website in one of the supported browsers and you would like to subscribe to a feed of it by using one of the supported RSS aggregator services: Open Alfred and enter the keyword grabfeedurls

Steps

On activation it tries to get the URL from your browser

It downloads the HTML, extracts the feed URLs from the HTML header and displays them

You select the feed URL you would like to subscribe to

You select your used RSS aggregator service

It opens the RSS aggregator service website in your default browser and subscribes to the chosen feed URL

Supported browsers

  • Safari
  • Google Chrome

Supported RSS aggregator services

Additional services can be added by modifying the included services.json file. Maybe it’s better when you inform me and I will provide an update. Otherwise this file gets overwritten on an update and your additions are lost.

Attention: For Fever and Tiny Tiny RSS you must set the server URLs with the keywords set_fever_server_url and set_ttrss_server_url in advance.

Credits

My thanks go to all bloggers, writers and website owners including their feed URLs to the HTML header of their websites.
